I run a music listening group on Discord called Ziggy’s Guide to Prog. I started it during the pandemic for me and my friends to connect on a weekly basis and I’ve kept it going for over three years. We are making our way through the Billboard Guide to Progressive Music by Bradley Smith. I initially picked up a copy of this book at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ in 1999 as a seventeen year old kid just discovering prog rock, and it changed my musical taste forever. It contains reviews of over 300 progressive music albums from 1967 to 1997 and I’ve always felt challenged to listen to every selection in it. We’re finishing up Season M-N and getting close to episode 200!
